It is so hard to get something for my boyfriend of almost 8 years. No I'm not waiting for the ring believe it or not we are happy the way things are, but I digress. as I was saying it is very difficult to buy him gifts because he does not like things, he an event lover! But he sure liked this one!! He loves trying new and exciting tastes from around the world and being a man quite naturally he would love MEAT, so to make a long story short...oh did you say to late?!? You nailed it! Right up high on the look out perch. One thing he said, and I quote, "That class one lever that was included to open the crate was inadequate, so I had to use a chain saw and a hammer. I would have liked to have saved the crate for my excess nails and screws but oh well." I would have loved to have seen that action. Anyway thanks so much for providing the perfect place to buy for the weird and difficult and to quote a famous AI, " I'll be back".

My daughter's boyfriend loved opening the crate, the crow bar, and he is keeping the crate. We all enjoyed watching the duct tape shredding and wood being pried apart.The jerky was really well flavored, I tried some of the boar,and was a nice texture. Great idea!

Bought it for my son-in-law, he was blown away with it. It was fun seeing his face when he opened it up.

Wow my Dad loved it soooo much it came in a day. I ordered from Australia and had no drama at all. The thing he loved most was it being in a crate. I will be useing this service again. Just wish you could be in Australia to deliver.

While the gift itself was amazing, I was disappointed in the shipping. I paid to have it delivered on a day my hubby wouldn't be home. However, it arrived late so he was the one to get it. On top of that I was disappointed that it came in a box with the company name all over it. While he had no idea what was inside he knew where it came from and was able to go to the website to peek. For the amount paid it should come in more discrete packaging.

Got this for my husband's birthday! He loved it...everything from having to take some time to open it with the crowbar to the selection of jerky. Thanks for providing something different to give as a gift! The only thing I'd recommend is don't label the shipping box with Man Crate all over it...kind of gives a bit of it away before the event. my father has pretty much everything he wants. until we found a man crate. the exotic meats crate was awesome. he said it brought him back to days he was in the navy and he got to try a whole bunch of different things. and it was a present for everyone else when we watched him try to open it.

I got the Exotic Meats crate for my husband's birthday and it was perfect! I opted for the duct tape wrapping, which made it even more awesome. I was a little sad that it didn't take him longer to open (he got it open in less than five minutes). I was hoping for a good 15 minute struggle (while I laughed at him of course), but with a few curses and the help of a hammer, he had the lid pried off fairly quickly.

He absolutely loved this gift! After tasting about half of the different meats in the crate, he went to the website and proceeded to inform me of which ones he wants next (all of them). He also told me that he wants a different one for every holiday from now on!!

I will definitely order from here in the future. These are great for any guy! Get one, you will not be disappointed!

Not only did they respond immediately when I had questions, but they let me know exactly when this item was going to be back in stock so I wouldn't miss it again. My husband LOVED the gift. I've worked with a guy, let's call him "Rob", for quite a while on a joint project, and he's been the very picture of helpfulness.

He's also a very awesome man; Rob is a licensed pyrotechnician and an avid meat-smoker. I found out that he hasn't tried biltong, that rolls Royce of cured meats, so this crate was the perfect fit.

It really knocked him over, so thanks for helping make Rob feel as appreciated as he is.

Purchased this for my husband for Christmas. He loves jerky so he was super excited about it and really enjoyed all the different flavors!

My only compliant was in the packaging. It was supposed to come with the crow bar to open the crate. That was missing from the package and since We were at a hotel for our Christmas exchange we had to get creative to get the crate open.

Otherwise very pleased with the jerky itself!

Description says awesome poundage. It’s barely over a pound total weight. Nearly 100 dollars a pound. Owtch

I bought this for my husband for Father's day last year. Most of the jerky was really good. The only issue were a few of them that were far too salty to be edible.

Overall though, the product was good and I typically get my husband a Man Crate for certain holidays.

The crate is good. Everyone thought it was fun and the food looks good. I ordered two, one for my boyfriend and one for my dad. There was no way of telling which one belonged to who so they got mixed up and my dad got the message meant for my boyfriend so that was super awkward.

What I learned from buying this is that you're really paying for the crate, the crowbar, and the overall 'crate-opening experience.' Make sure that you and others are going to be present when you give this gift so that everybody can observe the struggle. I thought it would be easy because they'd use nails, but...they used glue. So...yeah... It really was not easy but after some work and the introduction of a hammer, I was able to open it. If all you want is the value of the meat itself, there are other jerky packages; with significantly greater value. That said, the value contained in the man crate is not totally terrible. You get to sample some exotic meats and it is enjoyable! Like I said, just be sure you really want the gag crate experience.

I gave this to my brother for his Birthday and he LOVED it! More than anything it was incredibly unique and memorable! How creative :) The only critique I have is that the Kangaroo jerky and Alpaca jerky were not included like in the picture (which I was looking forward to for him). Other than that it is well worth it! Awesome gift, I would buy it again!

Got this for my hubby for fathers day and he loved it! Only 4 stars because there were duplicates of one type of jerky and that seemed kinda lame.

My brother and I ordered this for my Dad for Father's Day. We sent it to Mom's place of work to keep it as a surprise and everyone got a big kick out of the packaging!! Everyone loved it! The products were nice and fresh! We just wished there was a little more meat for the price.

Just received this and love the different kinds of jerky. Unfortunately instead of alpaca jerky, I received another kind of venison (the least exotic of them all). I was really looking forward to trying some alpaca. Other than that, everything was above expectations!
